Did I say I created the world or that Im a master of all things percussion or conga?? No.

Go back and re read my posts in their entirety. You take things out of context or do not read them in full.

I cant be bothered continuing this, Im not the one that feels they need to prove something to people on the internet. ???

Thanks Johnny for explaining exactly what Mr. Zaragemca isn't. He isn't humble nor is he giving. I just wanted to point that out.

Colocao you are right. We are all just different and that is the fun thing about this forum: a community of conga players, conga players wanna be (like myself, jejeje) and conga, percussion and music lovers, all around the world, with very different personalities... for me it's just fun... you can learn a lot about people and cultures from forums like this one.

Four,or five years ago I have to show what I got in the battles which were set up with some percussionists around here,(including from Africa),I did it with whatever they want to pick,Congas,Djembe,etc.(that's the reason that I have jamming and have to show myself with individuals from Ghana,Guinea,Nigeria,South Africa,Senegal,India,Brazil,etc.A Samba-Bateria came to do the same,but when they started listening the cueros,back it up,and just took a lot pictures and a video of the jamming,(that was witnessed by all my students and a packed house of the place were it happenned),so I didn't arrive in a parachute,again thanks to JC and the rest of the forum members,Feliz Navidad.Gerry Zaragemca.

Hey, everyone has their own hangups, but where can you get the info that's packed onto this board and website from a lot of pros as well as other students, all for free??? Sure, you may have to sort through some of the BS to get to the meat, but it beats paying $25 to $60 a lesson for little pieces of training.

The way I look at it, anything the pros are willing to give away to us should be appreciated.

I love CongaPlace. There was some very interesting great answers for producing a open slap. The answer from Jongo,Colacao,Zaragemca were very good. I could never explain it so well. I learn from practice and watching other players. Now we have DVD, VHS and our Conga brother to help you get your sound. I been away for awhile playing bass guitar. Im starting to hear percussion again.

Absolutely! I sincerely appreciate the advice given by the pros on this board. However, as I've stated before, I do not appreciate BS, whether it's coming form Bob, Billy or Giovanni Hidalgo.

In this country U.S.A., where I'm,anybody have the constitutional rights to come out with whatever BS they want,as long as they do not violate any law,notbody in this forum have a contract to teach you,you could get a paid teacher,and make the complain to him, if he is not teaching what you want.Gerry Zaragemca.
