I do understand exactly what they are trying to convey,that is the 'western approach' to phrasing with the knowlege about metric,and musical notation,but that is not (for example ),the african's approach, since they didn't have that knowlege, neither the 'rumberos' which were creating the percutive pattern of the Yambu,Guaguanco,Columbia,etc.,in Cuba had that knowlege.
