new bongo

I just got a new meinl woodcraft bongos made of ash wood has anyone played these bongos I would like to know if they are good and if the sound is better that any other bongo made out of wood the price was very good I never played bongos made of ash $173.00 thanks guys I will post fotos when I get them

I had one a while back, great drum. Just a little wide for me, but very nice sound. You paid a very good price.

I have one. Agree with BnB - an excellent bongo. Big and heavy but with a big sound. I keep mine in the car so it actually gets played more than my others. I use a big Meinl TMC stand with it most of the time. The stock heads weren't the best but I still have them on mine. One of these days I'll change them.
