People that buy vintage instruments are buying a piece of history and they are getting quality that is just not there in today's mass produced Thailand percussion world. Of course a 40 year old Ismael, Pan Con Queso or Vergara might have some issues, hey, they are 40+ years of age, but those issues can be corrected. Give me a 40 year old Vergara, Pan Con Queso or Ismael, I'll take them anytime over a new Pearl, Toca, Tycoon or LP. I take Caoba and Oak and traditional hardware, even with craks that I can fix, over Rubber wood, Beech wood with comfort curve crowns with gold hardware that looks like crap. Give me that Vergara, Ismael look and craftsmanship anytime over that new mass produced garbage any day. If you like something unique, vintage, rare and hand made by artisans that made and instrument with their heart, soul, dedication and love, then you got to pay the price. Mis dos kilos.
Enclosed: Isamel, Vergara, Junior Tirado, Pan Con Queso.
