Sakuntu-
Thanks for inquiring!
They were separate deals, ...the Afro-Cuban conga-looking drum on left I acquired from our own forum member Izzy, a great cat to deal with. It's wood, 1 piece. Tone between a conga and djembe, depending on weather, me, and the drum!
The wild looking thing on the right was custom made for me. It's terra-cotta, weighs a LOT!!! VERY bassy, with nice mid tones. slaps are hit or miss, the hoop position should have , ideally been lower. They get lots of comments!!!

I thought that was clay! I bet its heavy! I have some White tail Deer skin if you ever wanna try to a different sound and feel from the CP factory head. Maybe we could get the collar lower too. You know i'm in Rochester so send me a PM if your ever out this way and interested. It would be fun to link up and jam a bit too.

Yes, I was gonna say, this Crappy Percussion skin needs to come off.

This drum deserves to be tried with a real skin on.

Let us know

I had to post this new set of Volcanos. The Ohia wood is so beautiful. Thomas book matched the wood. I think they look awesome.
Enjoy!

Beautiful drum. The Ohia wood grain is stunning. How is the sound of the drum? Is this Volcano entry level drum?

Hi,
I have not personally played these drums but I am told they sound fantastic. They are the same shells as the top of the line Volcano drums. The wood is less expensive and it is outfitted with the wonderful heavy duty Remo hardware. This set I am told is very rare because the wood was from a very old tree. The wood had some beautiful lines in it. Most of the Ohia wood is very beautiful but this Ohia wood was exceptionally wonderful. I think they were only around $599.00 each and free shipping. All I can say is this has to be one of the best deals on the planet at this cost and this craftsmanship.
I hope you enjoyed the photos.
All the Best!
