Rumberos, yesterday I visited the shop of Roberto Rivera grandson of the famous Ismael Timba. The Gentleman there has the art of making Congas and Bongos in his veins, an heritage from his grandfather. There is an old topic here with pictures. His Congas & Bongos are very well made of exotics wood like mahogany which he has a lot in the shop ,cedar,capa prieto (do not know the english name) ect. The hardware is made of stainless steel and polish to a mirror finish without flaws. Congas and Bongos are made to your specs,you can call and order what you want, wood, height, size,skins, ect. There, I was able to look very close at his products which are built like a Tank and also played , this guy does not has to envy the works of others, he knows his art like the palm of his hand.
