My El Piernas Bongo

Just got here from Colombia courtesy of my parents. Hector Rocha made these for me My mom chose the color scheme for me. The Bongos came with a beautiful case wih the HR logo many pockets for bells etc.

The sound is beautiful and the hardware is very heavy duty the tuning lugs are huge.

An excellent set of bongos. Hard to get to. Congratulations.
That is some serious hardware. El Piernas seem like a great drum maker,
You don't see them too often though.

I saw those Cuco,
I really thought these were made out of solid wood, now it just makes me think about them differently.

Thanks Dario yes i have to get back down there. I haven't had the time i was not feeling well for a few days and my work schedule has been crazy lately we are short on people and i'm covering more spots at work. I spoke to him the other day as soon as everything gets more normal i will start going down there more.

Are they heavy in general more/less than LP's? I know , I know , not nice to compare w/ LP. But its a good reference point to weight :mrgreen:

They are heavier but for some reason i find the El Piernas a little more comfortable haven't figured out why yet.
