I have seen someone with a set of Fat Congas, keeps them on some great bags, that look like a thick leather, with some sheepskin-like interior padding, as the one Manny mentioned. Those bags are great, and always wanted to know who makes them, where to get them, and ho much they cost.
They offer superior protection, the guys Fat Congas are like new.

Anyone know where those sheepskin-like interior padding conga bags, are available ?

Alafia Abure Mr.Conga!
I hope that you are well and abundantly blessed!

I have a set of "Fat Congas" that I have always stored in a set of "Beato" cases, however based on your description of the "sheepskin" I believe that Abure Abakua's cases might be what you are looking for: Protection Racket Cases!

Suave!

If only Protection Racket conga bags came with wheels. Having wheels make transporting congas that much more convenient.

I know that I can always use a hand truck, which I do (I have a Rock N Roller R12--their biggest model--for my other percussion instruments and P.A. equipment, as well), but with each bag having wheels you can more easily transport your congas individually.

I carry the Tumba on my back in the Protection Racket case, one conga carried in right hand in the protection racket case and left hand wheel the 2nd conga (i dont use quinto) in my special Billy Hydes padded case. (Billy Hydes is the official distributor of LP, Pearl, DW etc here) I make a second trip to get my suicase with wheels which carries my LP cradle stands.

I will get some pics of this case and post up in later today when I get home from work.

bongosnotbombs, Im sure you will be very happy with the quality of the Protection Racket cases.

Good for you! That's carrying about 100 lbs. in total! You certainly look well-built and still young.

Unfortunately, for some of us, we can do the same feat for only so long. Others, meanwhile, may not even be willing to take the risk of a possible bodily injury. One never knows when something might just crack, pop or snap, regardless of one's age and physical condition. If that happens, the consequences could be a lot worse and enduring.

I agree completely manny. No doubt whatsoever.

Protection racket also offers conga cases with wheels for those who find it easier.

Well I just got my Protection racket bag delivered, and what can I say,
it's a great looking bag. The "sheepskin" on the inside is super cool, I'm almost tempted to use the
thing as a sleeping bag, and the zippers are the beefiest I have seen on a conga bag, the bagpack straps are good and the handle feels strong.

I have a couple of other bags, but for the price i think the protection racket one is great, it just
has a lot of attention to little details.............................

.................but :( I got to tell you, the cases are a little on the slim side, i emailed the manufacturer about
sizes and he sent me a size chart with 11 3/4 being the conga size, which is the size of my Skin on Skin conga, but the
bag is too small around the belly, or the conga cut too wide. It is a little my fault for wanting to save a few bucks, because I emailed Abakua
and he said he had tumba size bags for his conga and tumba. So my SOS is a little too big, which means my vintage Gon Bops
conga gets a new bag and the SOS gets a little more time in the Army duffle! I'm surely getting more of these because at $85 or so
they are the best deal around that I know of. But I would recommend for you guys with the custom congas going up a size.

Glad to hear they are what you expected and are happy with quality. I did tell you to get the tumba version! maybe keep it for additional quinto or smaller width conga u may get in future? * edited* just saw thats what you doing with it! I hadnt read your reply properly.
The SOS and most custom congas are generally wider in the belly than the standard mass produced congas. I test fitted an LP Conga into the conga case and it was a tight fit, so I went with the larger tumba sized cases all round. great fit.
Best of luck getting the next ones!

Here are some pics of my other heavy duty padded case. Great bag also. The base is padded on the interior also as this is where the head of the conga is designed to go, and the base is solid, so there is no bending etc under the weight of the drum, wheels and brackets are welded onto this solid base. Pics below!
