Otherwise I'm hooked up with these aspires for another half year, and I'm quite impatient.

peebee,

May I butt in.

Nope, Mario doesn't make all the drums by himself. He's got employees in his shop.

My Islas arrived between 1 and 2 weeks later than originally estimated.

You don't want your Islas rushed. It's worth the extra wait, if any.

Are you sure Manny? He had a helper before, but didn't work out. At least that what he told me when I personally went to pick up my set in August.
I think Mario works alone, unless he found a good helper recently.

Whether he's got helpers currently, I cannot say for sure, as I did not ask him outright. However, in our most recent phone conversation, he mentioned how he would soon be training helpers so that he'll be able to have more free time for workshops, lessons, etc.

Tonio,

When Mario and I spoke, while he was still working on my drums about this time last year, to my knowledge he had helpers. Whether that has changed or not, I was never made aware.

But, if it's true that he currently doesn't have any helper, then he has my empathy. It'd be very difficult for him to cope with the increasing demand for his Islas and still meet his estimated dates of delivery.

Even Cali Rivera of JCR, who makes mostly cowbells, appears in pictures to have at least 1 helper.
