Three Bauer Congas for Sale--Possibly

Postby Bachikaze » Mon Apr 07, 2008 2:37 am

I'm floating the idea of selling my three Bauer Lites congas (Q/C/T). I love these drums, but I have my eye on an expensive African string instrument. I feel I have to sacrifice something I love to get something else I will love. Since I own 20-30 drums, but no African string instruments, I think I need some variety.

Lites are made of marupa wood from Brazil. As the name implies, they are noticeably lighter than most congas, but sound great, very warm.

Are any of you interested? I'm tentative about this because it would leave me without any congas.

I've been waiting for a set of Bauers for awhile.
They are exotic drums because they are hard to acquire in the US.
I would wait until you have the $$ for the African instrument.

Yes, I may never get another chance to own another set like this. But, even though I have enough money for both the congas and the kora, I feel like I must sacrifice one for the other. It was a personal promise before the new purchase was made. Since I have a ton of drums, and only one kora, the kora wins out over the congas. The only alternative is to sell my two sets of timbales.

Thanks for the advice.

Sorry I took so long to respond. I've had trouble logging in.

YorubaSon, When will you be out here? Maybe we can meet.
