Hello Erik,

It's very very difficult to say how much it cost because I have build a lot of conga tools and I have a lot of furnitures since a long time (that's not my first fibershell conga).

I have build tools for build spécific tools for build drums.

And my father's got a farm, That's where I'm working ; I've got all I need (workshop, welding machine, driling, etc...).

Maybe 1000 euro, maybe 2000, maybe more... I can't say. And I don't speak about the construction time.... :O

Here is photos of the skin :

The choice of the skin, so important !

I was hoping the crown would be white too! :D

Are those your fathers animals the skins are coming from?

Pink Mama Tumba looks almost ready for a night out!

Existe alguna característica especial a considerar en la elección del cuero???

Acabo de instalar uno delgado en una conga pero no resuena, que grosor se recomienda??

Hello bongo, not all the skins I use comes from my father's caws. But that's all I can say, I want to keep my artisans secrets :;):

Yeah !!! it's almost ready !!!

Traumtyp, for the skin, I think Bull or Caw or mule are good, thickness depends of what sound you like. For me, 2 - 3mm thick is good.

Another photo, ready to cut the skin, we see the two colors black ans white of the Caw, after drying, I think it will have a great look.

I just try it with the wet skin and I think PINK MAMA will have a "BIG BOOOMM BASS" !!!!!

Lou,
I think the different colors of that skin make the perfect match to that pink conga.
Pink, fiberglass and spots, is this the latest in designer conga fashion from Paris? Keep your eyes tuned to the runway. :D

Hey Congalou

The skin looks like the exact same skin you sold me.... Is that the same animal?

Man I enjoy playing these skins.... No harmonic, no overtone, just pure sound..... I love it.

Great job..

PS: Is that a patato series on one of the pics?

Hello B !!

No, that's not the same animal, you have a big Bull very thick, and for pink mama, I use a cow a little bit more thin, the left buttock of a Prim'hostein cow (The Black and white which make good milk !!!)

I mounted the last part of your bull on the Patato you see on a photo and the result is... just fantastic !!! Thick but very easy and confortable to play.

There's no surprise, good grass, good corn, good water and NO STRESS make a happy cow wich give us the better milk, the better meat and the better conga skin too !!!

Galou.

I try rubber with a metal sheet inside for the bottom. I think it wont slide with it. Here is a photo.
