yambu321,
Those drums are still being made for me, they should be ready by next month if all is going on schedule, all in all it will have been a 6 month wait.
ralph asked me not to give out the price, which was discounted because I got a full set of 3 and a bongo.
I think he appreciated me talking about Valje with him, that and the size of the order I guess...
What is very cool is that excellent bags and that chrome stand the drums are on are part of the deal, so 3 congas, 1 bongo plus the 3 conga bags and the 3 stands........man I can't wait!

Even though I voted GonBops I think I already have my dream set: I purchased quinto, conga and tumba shells and African cowhide from Drumskulls and hardware from Moperc and mounted the hardware and hides myself.

Chupacabra,
Is the hardware you purchased from Michel(Moperc) custom size? Have you played Moperc congas?
Being in Victoria, are thre any dealers near you?

Hi Tonio,
I'm pretty sure the hardware is the stock size. I e-mailed him a couple of photos of the shells and the diameter of the bearing edge and he said that we wouldn't need anything special. He recommended the distance down from the bearing edge that I mount the side brackets and I checked it out before I started drilling holes - it looked good so I followed through.
I have tried a Moperc conga and quinto out and they are indeed fine instruments, as are the batas and bongos. A friend of mine has the batas and bongos and we swap and borrow all the time. Unfortunately, there are no Moperc dealers in Vic - this is LP country in these here parts!
