So as a proud citizen of the Haight Ashbury community, swelling
with civic pride I performed my public duty........................

In true San Franciscan fashion, a fellow citizen,
witnessing my service to the public remarked to me:

" I hope you make a drum out of that!" he said with a smile.

and went on his way.

What does it sound like when you hit it? Would it be better as the side of the cajon or the top? Actually, you probably would not want to mar the paint and make it illegible, maybe spray some clear coat on top to protect the finish.

I have been at 7 rumbas in the past month and a half that have been broken up by the police, in 3 different states, NY, NJ, and CA. More than in the previous 5 years combined. Seems like a movement to me... "El amo no quiere que yo toque el tambor..." Tiempos de España right here at home.

LOL that is great. Doesn't that problem go back to the 60's? This has been a fight there for a long time.

Yeah, that doesn't look like the kind of sign that really means what it says... It's spray paint on wood! If they really meant it they'd put it on a metal sign in that reflective writing and bolt it on there... That sign looks like it was just waiting to be taken. I wonder how long before they make another one.

Just doing my part to provide some medicine to all those suffering with glaucoma and eating disorders. :;):

We are allowed to grow up to 10 plants legally with a growers card here in wonderful California. :;):

You better belive this crop will be transformed into a wonderful set of new drums come this fall. :D

Brother bongos...... I would just change the words around , prohibited to welcome; and post it back up.

Make the cookies and I will bring the rum. ???

Say hello to my boy John Santos, I remember when I met him , he was selling at Haight Ashbury music at the time.
