They certainly are beautiful. I've heard from many (and can confirm as well, because I own a set of these) that these Fiberglasses Congas are the best fiberglass congas. I must concur...I absolutely LOVE playing these. They're heavy, but if you have a gig bag with wheels (there is a Gator Two-For-One special on Musician's Friend's posted on this forum somewhere), it's not a problem..

About the conga, there is absolutely no problem with playing Quinto and Tumbadora. Most of the work you might do would involve only two congas anyway. If you're like me and REALLY enjoy three conga patterns, though, it would be nice to get a Conga somewhere. Doesn't even have to a Patato. Just find a good, professional-quality Conga and add it to the setup, and you're done. But, you're set is good enough to do anything, really.

I often play quinto and tumba....High-low...salt- pepper. I prefer to play three of course but on small coffee house gigs They work. tune quinto down a little and don't play edges as much. I have a 10 3/4 patato conga with comfort rims ...like the ones you have. new head. Lp select if you want you can have it on the cheap...need to know heigth ...mine's a 30"
Pm me and we can do a deal ...I'm in Indiana so shipping won't be much

Sorry guess I read your post incorrectly...my drum is the same size as yours.I'm used to Gon Bop(old school) sizes 10 3/4 is a conga Quinto is 10". every thing has gotten larger.. So I stand corrected hope you find that middle drum size.

peace
