What does everyone think of the color scheme of the 40th Anniversery LP congas. Cool or not cool? I kind of like them at first glance, but don't know if I could live with them day in and day out.

Alafia Abure Mangorockfish!
I hope that you are in an abundance of blessings my brother!

As for the color, yeah! I guess it would take some getting used to, but first hand they look good! I'm sure that the sound would be consistant with LP's reputation, good!

Suave!

Onile!

I'd like em if they got rif of that logo design and just kept the fade of color. then again i like really simple things. you could get em, sand em down and stain em like onile did! :)

I agree with sakuntu, the fade is pretty sweet, but the logo is definitely cheesy.

Essentially they are 'dressed up' Classic's.
Same body, same rims (exept for the added bracket to mount bell/tamborine etc)

Effect looks cool. Personally Id save some dollars and just get Classics.

I Agree with the others.
Random Biker graphic decals have little to
do with percussion.
No different sound as the classics. . Are you buying furniture or
is it a better sounding drum your'e after?
You should ask yourself :
What's lacking in your current congas?
Is the sound not warm? no projection?
Is the skin mediocre...are slaps difficult to get?

The solution may be in a slow, steady and frequent practice
schedule...and better heads - not more new drums
with cheap water bufallo heads.

Trying to keep it real, sorry if I offend.

Que pasa Rumberos, Are those aniversaries Lp Congas the same dog with a different collar ? Yes, That gold color hardware will fade with the reaction of the sweat of your hands with the metal.
