I can't remember exactly who of all of us on here live in Texas but the Brownsville Latin Jazz fest has a good line up this year. Jimmy Bosch Friday night, Larry Harlow Saturday night and a free street party with Yerba Buena Sunday night. I have seen Yerba Buena before in Austin and they were so good. Pedrito Martinez was kick ass to watch. The solo he played was fabulous.
I would really like to see Larry Harlow. I never saw Mongo, Ray Barretto, Celia Cruz, Anga, well the list of people I have not seen is too long to continue. I have to take advantage of this opportunity or I will regret it. I saw Tito Puente in concert shortly before he passed away and I should have seen Celia Cruz in concert in Houston but my wife and I did not have the money. Had we known then what we know now we would have made it to that show. I have to convince my wife to let me go down to Brownsville for the weekend!

Well I missed the Brownsville Jazz Festival and the PASIC Conference in Austin, I just live down the road in San Antonio but couldn't make it. That's OK I was home with my baby boy! Suddenly going to Austin was not that important, but still it would have been great to go. Jorge, did you see Francisco Aguabella? How was it?
