So it's correct but inverted, I can fix that. Thanks for your feedback.
The third tumbadora playing the Obiapa part, do you know what that part is?

Jongo,

No problem brother, anytime!

Take a look at the attached link:

Conga Pioneer Part.1

There you will find "Afro Blue" conga part transcribed in the proper clave direction. Also take a look at the transcription labeled "Low Drum" that's the traditonal Abakua Obiapá part.

Hope this helps!

Saludos,

Jorge Ginorio

I couldn't find anything about Afro Blue at this link. I just looked like a Meinl product web sight.
Did I do something wrong?

I went on the website and looked and I guess Meinl took that part down. There is a cool segment on Mongo Santamaria still up but I could no longer find the transcription of Afro Blue

I think that is from the conga book but there was a version on the Meinl site

Hi Jongo and Mangorockfish,

Seems the article had been removed from the site. Attached is the transcription that was featured along with Mr. Alex Pertout article about Mongo's Afro Blue.

Hope this helps!

Saludos,

Jorge Ginorio
