I'm still lusting over the Palladiums, but they are 32" tall?/ woah Can I get em in a bag?

How are the GioGalaxy? Just about the same price >$20-$40 less.

Anyone compare the 2?

Alafia Abure Tonio!
I hope that you are well and in an abundance of blessings!

I have a set of four Palladiums which I am unloading/selling. Yeah! They are 32" tall, and are great looking drums. I just currently have two that a local pana of mine is waiting to buy, and so that leaves me with a 14" Supertumba, and a 12 1/2" Tumba to sell. No particular reason, other than I'm a wuss and don't like hauling these beasts around! I'll even toss in a couple of bags which I had specially made by JR Bags a few years ago! I'm asking $850 for two. You'll have to consider shipping though!

Check them out......

Nice pics, are they original skins, doesn't look like it.

Where are you located onile? I will not buy without test/playing them. Actually I was looking for the quinto and tumba. They are heavy for sure.
So what are you using for your main set?

OK,now back to the regular scheduled program......... comparisons??

Alafia Abures Cap'n Q y Tonio!
Que riza me da Papa!

Well, actually Tonio, they are the original 'buffalo skins which LP sends out on all of their drums, I just don't like the 'shameless' self promotion, so I rub it off!

Cap'n Q! You and I think along the same path, I use my returns for self rewarding activities, say like buying more drums! :D :p

As for my main set, I have three LP Patatos (The pics are on the post "patato skins")

I also have a set of three Fats, incredible drums Papa!

Okay, I'm actually your neighbor, I'm in Phx. AZ! Que Calor!

Hola Tonio!

I have the Gio Galaxy congas and have also played Onile's palladiums pictured.(see "rumba in the desert" thread)

Pretty much the same ... both have a more "singing" quality rather than "dry" sound and project well.
Big bass when tilted and crisp slaps - but heavy! :D

Hope that helps ... Peace!

online- I thought it may be just rubbing off the LP mark. :;):

Yeah tax return is the best way to get equipment !! Kinda funny huh uncle sam takes, it then you send the return real quick.

AZ huh? thts about about 3-4 hr drive. It may be a possibility. Have you considered just selling the tumba. I ralize its hard to sell just one at a time. Let me know, unless you don't want to wait for capn' q's return.

Fat Congas?? woah got pics ? I always had a liking to them, but never seen or played them. I guess you can call them esoteric.

capn' Q thanks for that, I'll check out the thread.

Hey yourself!

... Pretty much the same ...

They really are about the same in sound quality. The metal rings encircling the palladiums
don't affect the sound - unless they come loose and rattle! :p

Same hardware, same wood, same skins. Bigger size available with palladium.
( ... must (gasp) have (gasp) supertumba!!)

Peace,

Lo siento pana, pero los tengo que vender como pareja!
It would be somewhat difficult to sell one drum at a time as opposed to a set.

I'm currently at work, but when I get home this evening, I'll post some pics of the Fats. I know I have already, but I can't seem to find them on forum.
