He just typed in 1 e + a 2 e + a 1 e + a 2 e + a
and then h t S t h t O O h t S t O O
O O
under it. put a space between each letter or number

top row= timeline
second row= lead drum (conga) and
third line second drum (tumba) more lines for more drums
h=heel, t= tip, s=slap, o=open, b=bass, small letters weak hand, big letters strong hand
In this case the pattern is for the bog standard two drum tumbao. If you can type emails you can type patterns, it is a very easy system and doesnt need any special computer.

Hey how are you guys doin' today . Hey thanks for your suggestions . I keep on trying to squeeze that songo out of my teacher but he is still holding out . I think we should share our two cents with each other b'cause i'm shure its not the same . i't is a hassle to get up of this chair for the most part b'cause i'm just so relaxed but sometimes we have to go the extra mile and look something up like a pattern . But think about it if we would'nt go the extra mile we could'nt get to the FRIG..... for another beer !

This is a Songo variant that our friend Dan pointed out as the second double conga possibility that fits with Mozambique.

I hope you understand it 'cause it's quite hard to write rhythms like that .

Hey, last night I played that Songo pattern that Captain Quinto had put up that is from the Congabook. That is a good little Songo pattern, I really enjoyed it. I guess I need to check the Congabook more often.

Does anyone know any sites, to look for more conga (percussion) patterns written like in congabook here on congaplase, or is it the unique one to get them free? I'm not mean, but inquisitive too much

I love the songo concept. Since it is my first post ever so I will share a favorite pattern of mine.

This is for 3 drums, quinto in middle conga to left, tumba to right:
'o' will be quinto, 'O' will be tumba, and 'C' will be conga open tones.

Here is a very basic one for 2 drums:

BTW its glad to see a conga forum that actually has people posting in it.

EDIT: Looks like my hand instructions arent loning up with my tone instructions... oh well... just copy it to a notepad before you work it out and make everything match up Enjoy. THe first one is a variation of my own the 2nd one is the original songo pattern given to my by my first teacher.
