Beautiful shekeres from Pacific Coast Percussion, they are pricy but then I have friends with speed boats, bikes and snow machines. Percussion even the top end is still a much less expensive interest than those items. Plus we do not have to spend much on gas and maintanence.
I bought creations both from Stan and from Timbali.
Both equally good. Timbali can make you a new one or repair/refurbish your favourite old one in double quick time if you are in a hurry. Check out his bags

Here is a video I made of 5 different types of Shekere's being played. There are two from Pacific Coast Percussion, one with a loose net (blue) and one with a tight net (red and white). That also makes a big difference in sound. I also have one with small glass beads and one with cowry shells/glass mixed. I also put in the Gon Bops rawhide /fiberglass shekere. I hope this helps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPyHHM8WPYQ
