Postby niallgregory » Fri Sep 24, 2010 10:11 am

Our album " Avalon " made its debut @ number 24 in the Billboard top 200 charts in the USA :D I recorded the album with the vocalist of Godsmack Sully Erna . The album is pretty mellow stuff and nothing like his day job . Im featured on congas , bongo , shekere , djembe , darabuka , shakers , cymbals etc . check out the making off the album here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJkcAqJR32s&feature=fvst . Might not be alot of peoples cup of tea but check it out you might be surprised . Cheers . Niall

Thanks for all the positive responses folks . Much appreciated indeed , its a great project to be involved in for me as it really pushes the percussion to the front . Its getting a very positive response so far from the public in the Usa , lots of rock and metal fans that would never hear the instruments that we all love like conga , bongo , shekere etc are loving the grooves :) . For those wondering where they can get a copy its the usual outlets in the states and online in can be downloaded from amazon , itunes etc .Anyone in europe its out on the 27 th sept and can be gotten cheap from play.com with free delivery .. Will keep you informed on how its doing and thanks for the support . Niall ..

That is great stuff. I've been trying to talk my rocker friends into something like this for years, coming from a rock background myself. Glad somebody finally got it.

Niall hello!

Very impressive and I like the music too. I like the way you and the band incorporate the percussion, cause being home and culturelized out of the lands where congas and bongos are something natural. I always like the mixture of different instruments, without any rules of what should go here and there, cause tradition... is telling you so. Music are vibrations and just make the music to feel the vibrations as emotions... I liked the first album of canadian band I Mother Earth back in the nineties, combination of metal rock with all the beautiful percussion thingies...
Niall, keep up the good work and I hope you'll have a tour in Europe soon!
