Shipping boxes

Postby Paqui » Mon May 24, 2010 6:57 pm

Does anyone here know where I can buy a couple of corrugated cardboard boxes big enough to accommodate a conga and a tumba drum?

I don't seem to find a store that sells large boxes and those that do sell them, sell them in bundles only -I don't want to pay over $100.00 to just used two boxes.

Thanks a lot!

Self storage places sell individual boxes and I think those independent stores like UPS store do too.
You have to go there in person. Online ordering one box doesn't seem realistic. Make sure and read up
on size restrictions. I sent some stuff recently by USPS and only got under the size by 2 inches!

Hi Paqui,

Do you happen to live near a Guitar Center or drum store that sell congas?

If so, visit them and ask if you can take couple of empty conga boxes for free.

Hope this helps,

I go and get two 16x16 boxes and place them over each other, fits the majority of congas nice and tight, tape em up together and voila!

I went to Sam Ash and Guitar Center yesterday and got some double-wall big boxes that I'm planning to put together to safely ship the congas.

Thank you all for your advices!
