Forum fully dedicated to the instrument

I FINALLY GOT MY OSIRIS BONGO THAT I SENT TO CALI RIVERA (JCR) IN THE BRONX. HE REPLACED THE OLD OSIRIS HARDWARE AND SKINS FOR A NEW JCR HARDWARE SET AND SKINS BEAUTIFUL SOUND. THIS BONGO WAS A MIX OF IDEAS BETWEEN JUNIOR TIRADO AND CALI RIVERA. THEY ARE NOT TOO MANY AROUND. CALI DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB ON IT. EXCELLENT JOB A+ A+ A+. WILL RECOMMEND TO EVERYBODY IN THE FORUM. HERE IS THE PICTURE WITH NEW SATIN GRAY HARDWARE AND NEW SKINS.

Ahora si Julito, ahora si. Sufre Dario. Beautiful job by Cali. Hey Dario, just changed the Macho skin on the CP, now is kicking A$$. That original skin was too thick to get a crispy sound.

Hey, what happen to the mass produce Bongó owners ,they don't post here any more. I guess they went to the Bongogroup where they can speak about with the no so experience over there. Over here we know what is good and what is not.

eh, I'm still using my Meinl's, they been very good to me! ??? :;):

However I do have a set due later this month from Resolution drums, I asked if he could do the "Jack Constanza" model style, you know the ones with the chrome bars instead of a block? We'll see if he's able to pull it off.

gracias daria gracias caballo:
what you guys think about chroming the hardware. i like it the way it looks now, because it gives the bongo a vintage look. like you said dario.cali did a criminal job.

Julito, no reason to do that you have stainless steel hardware not cheap iron which have to be chrome to cover the flaws, try to do some polish with chrome shining paste & you are set to go.
