Hi everyone,
A short contribution to this topic.
I listen to Los Hermanos Lebron (I mean the old tunes),

Pucho Brown & His Latin Soul Brothers (afro-american timbalero, had not been recording for a while and was rediscovered by some crazy london djs, "Rip a Dip", "How am I doin?" and his last album, "The Hideout")
and last but not least, Sargento Garcia, a band based in France, playing rumba and a so-called salsamuffin, but the percussions part are great).

That's it for today;

Tito Diaz

ChristianAMR ....by any chance does the album have a photo of Nigerians standing with their bata drums around them on the cover? And what year is it, please?....It may be the one I've been looking for since the 70's...."JC" Johnny Conga.... :D

Ok , I have been given a copy as a gift from a student of mine . And he gave me also a booklet , but it doesn´t seem to be the original one , yet it has a lot of background information . The photos included in there are of very bad quality , it shows 2 or 3 shots , but the drums can not be recognized accurately .

Here is a link with some short audio excerpts .
And the recording is from 1980 .

I've been listening to a new album featuring Changuito.
It's called Telegrafia Sin Hilo and it's on a label from Venezuela called Cacao Musica. Great music, fine production, and excellent packaging. Check out track 7.

Got mine from descarga.com.

Speaking of Bobby Sanabria, I received his new CD "Big Band Urban Folktales" yesterday in the same shipment as the Changuito CD.
Another winner.
