Salsa,Merengue,and Cumbias,(on Timbales)..We also did a special
presentation of Guaguanco...Panama and Venezuela were represented in
the jam.Dr. Zaragemca

Hey Dr. Z, where in H-Town is Willowbrook Mall? What music did you play from Panama and Venezuela? Sounds like a fun jam

He can't prove it, thats what he is...so obvious..

how can someone be a world known percussionist and there not be one photo?

I mean I guess the world does know him since he posts on every single forum in the world..

don't know how he has time to play anything when he is so busy posting the most poorly written articles on percussion the world has ever seen on every single music forum known to the internet.

I've probably given the good Doctor as much benefit of the the doubt here as anyone, albeit in a silent manner. However, I to am dying to hear or see a performance. I believe a photo of him is on the board somewhere. Abakua, if I'm not mistaken posted it. I'm not sure which I want to see more- a pic or vid of Doc Z playing or a pic or vid from the west coast Picnic Jam, or did I miss that post? Ummmm, okay you win Doc. So what say? Are you going to come thru?

Hey Quinto,
I don't think anyone ever posted about the West Coast picninc, there was only one guy there that remembered to bring his camera, taikonoatama's was broken and he was the organizer.
There were at least 6 or 7 of us from this forum and a few other local conguero's there.

bongosnotbombs, Does that mean we have about as much chance of seeing Doc Z perform as we have of seeing the West Coast Picnic? I hope not. Well Doc?

As a matter of facts I had posted a lot of pictures with differents bands, but they are all been taking out of the internet, who is doing this?,....Iwill pay you if you find out...Willowbrook Mall is on the North west part of Houston,(1960 loop)...Tthere were musicians from Venezuela and Panama, but the music was regular Salsa,Merngue, and Cunbias, thanks for the posting.Dr. Zaragemca

Hey Dr. Z, thanks for the reply. I was also wondering what the "special Guaguanco presentation" was? Did you play it in a different style or just what was it that made it special.
Lots of Venezuelans in Houston so I am glad you had some good Venezuelan musicians at your gig
Friday Nov. 2 I will be in Houston (Clear Lake) do you have a gig lined up for the 2nd?

Welcome Jongo, the presentation was special becouse regularly in the gigs we don't play Guaguanco,..the style of Guaguanco was one developed in Los Sitios,(me barrio),and I was playing quinto,..both, the venezuelan and panamenian, are , my percussion students.Dr. Zaragemca
