I have a crack on the bottom of my congas. The sounds of the tones are not effected by the crack, but I'm afraid it will eventually. What can I use not to worsen the crack? :(

Hello RayBoogie!

I'm sorry to read about your crack... Is it possible that you fix it? I recommend that you buy those 5-10 cm wide strap with the mechanism to tighten and lock, some 2component wood glue which is used by instrument makers (guitar for example...), scraping paper.

Unscrew the metal bottom of the drum (if there is any), scrap the inside of the crack and remove all the dust inside, put some glue and tighten the drum with the tape. Leave it for 24 hours and the drum should be ok.

I hope i helped a bit, i don't know if the advice is right, post some picture of it (if possible) and it will be easier to give advice...

Fix up the Groove machine and stay cool!
