Hi all, been a busy week for me, thought Id share what Ive been up to...

Some of you may be aware of the studio recording I recently completed with PEPSI, Ive received a mastered MP3 copy of it, once they release the ad, I will be allowed to share it on here also..
As a result of that work, we received an invitation to audition for an upcoming ad campaign for TV for TIC TAC, around 15 or so of the latin based bands/acts are going for it, we auditioned with a Rumba group we have, a latin jazz quartet and our 10 piece latin funk/timba band also.
They responded really well to it, we find out on Monday if we got it or not..
The next day my girlfriends 2 bands (she is a singer) auditioned, they did really well also.
Plenty of rehearsals in between and 6 gigs over the last 3 days, plus 2 gigs tonight and 1 tommorrow.. oh man, Im gonna be farkin tired!! Need some red bull!! :D

Anyway, some pics were taken, they not the best quality, but I hope you enjoy...

Below:
The back seat of one of my cars, here we are on our way to the casting, my 3 LP Palladiums in their custom bags taking up the whole back seat...

No street parking available due to parking signs saying no stopping/no parking...

Did you know the nut which holds these sings in place is the same size as that of standard LP lugs? :D
Us latinos are fairly crafty..
A quick 'modification' of street signs and we had instant parking!!!! Of course signs were later replaced!!

My bro Jose, tuning...
Jose is a bad motherf*cker on congas, animal on timbal and one of the most incredible drumkit players I have ever seen.
His style is a cross between Daniel Ponce and Giovanni Hidalgo, we get together almost every week for jamming and gig often together also.
Ive known him since he was 2yrs old, now he is 23 and has been playing since he was 3yrs old. His father is an institution and well respected old school percussionist, a true pioneer of afro cuban percussion in Sydney.
