Ok folks, I am going to ask everyone to have a coke and a smile and chill the F*ck out.

Healthy debate is welcome on the forum, this kind of behaviour over the last few pages is not.

If it continues I will lock the thread and be asking for alterations in your posting or you will be banned from the forum.

G'day all

I can't help but feel responsible for the war of words that is going on. My intention in starting this thread was to see if any one was interested in talking about play for God. I guess it has successeded in that, 7 page long and close to 1000 viewings. ... mmm ... but how things have got out of hand.

Lil' Blonde thank you for your wisdom. You right in saying that we should be showing a little grace. Perhaps Peace and forgiveness can be show too.

after having read all of the threads, I can not believe the disrespect that humans have for each other.

Bataboom and Online please love your neighbour as you do yourselves.

Bataboom I respect that you are standing up for what you believe. and that you are trying to keep this thread true to it's original intent; but do not throw out the baby with the bath water. romans 12:9-21

Online; my friend. I get the feeling that you are enjoying yourself. :;): in australia we have a saying, "put the bait out and see if you get a bite" you like fishing? but it's time to let the fish go.

Bless you all

Bataboom wrote:remember unsaved brothers, God created everything, you must believe in him to be saved if you dont, your lost and that explains ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS. But the only bad part is this is a
"Christian percussion thread"

SO LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY, no one welcomed any of your questions
or smart antiGod remarks ........

I have to say I find this rant extremely offensive, uninclusive, ignorant, rabid, tired, dogmatic rhetoric... Something I might find on somekind of Evangelical website, which is where it belongs, not on an international website for percussionists.. The thread should be binned..

Sorry guys this Forum is about Drumming and NOT religion. Please save the "religious rhetoric" for another forum, with all due respect. We ALL respect each ones individual liberty to believe in what or whomever they choose to believe in, but this Forum is NOT about that....Thank you...."JC" Johnny Conga....

I wish the moderator would just lock the thread all together.

Spot on Rumbaman,

Music is a religion and we all belong to the same church.

Man I got to say this... I love anyone that plays the congas. That goes for everyone on here. In the drum we are truly brothers and sisters. We share a mutual love and passion to express, to communicate, to have others feel what we are feeling because we know that feeling of joy, peace and passion. In this we are all kindred spirits.

I have interest in this thread because I have found peace with my Creator and enjoy expressing that through the congas. To me (my experience) at the end of my life there are 2 things that matter most; how I treated others and my relationship with my Creator. In this we can all find truth and solace. I only wish the best for everyone here regardless of thier belief (or unbelief). I know that tolerance is beautiful thing, without it we are in chaos. It would be great to meet every single one of you, listen to you play and learn from you. I am especially glad to see that Christian churches are bringing in the congas, they are beautiful, soulful instruments - that's why we play!

Grace and peace in the name of Jesus Christ. Instruments and singing were created to worship God Almighty:Him only. I understand other type of music only for the marriage bed when only a man and women can appreciate. To make music is to worship. The reason I say that because in the holy scriptures in Isaiah 14 it describe what music created. The holy scriptures say there were three Arc angels Gabriel who brought the word,Michael who brought war, and lucerfer was created to worship. The holy scriptures say God clothe him with every precious stone found on earth and when God shom His light every color would shine forth;now you wonder were the disco lights come from.Every instrument came out of him he would fill heaven with a perfect beautiful sound. God found iniquity in his heart he wanted the praise for himself so God kicked him out.Now there was a vacancy.Who do you think he created to fill that void,"us!" But why God create a human who fails God, lies and cheats or choose not to worship God if he does not want to. Simple God understood that worship that is offered willingly is far greater then worship that is created. So praise Him for His loving kindness and His grace and mercy in Christ Jesus. Remember every sound we play comes to an existence in this world so lets make a blessed sound for us all.

I will echoe JC's comments.

This forum is about drumming and not religion.
We ALL respect each others individual freedom to believe in what or whomever they choose to believe in, but this Forum is NOT about that

Take the religious discussion to a religious forum.
It will be the last time we ask it nicely.
