Hello, MrHands, you tell me how you like them!
Personally I liked them a lot. I heard and read a lot of bad things about these congas, beside good...some of them true, some new and bad came out when i got them...
But, having them now for 4 years or 5, can't remember, and having them for gigs (mainly funk, house, rock or jazz, some latin...) I'm very satisfied with them. When you tune them right, play them, when you stay alone with them on the stage, and have some solo with drummer, I love them. Quinto is great, tumba is strong, conga too. I even recorded with them newest album with my band and they came out very nice and warm.
They are not thrash cans, but they can sound weird when not tuned properly and even by the lugs. They' re fiberglass, mustn't forget that, if you don't like fiberglas, they are not your type, cause even when you get close to the wooden sound you still have just fiberglass - that'y why I have Woodcrafts with mules.

You can take away some ringing with stage tape or foam, but i only put stage tape below the skins and got use to it, even though that the ringing isn't present anymore, as it was. They are bright, not to say loud, harmonics on the center of the skin is a cookie that you can use so easy.
I remember that Isaac wrote that quinto is great, and I must tell, it really is, bright, very nice slaps and muffs, also tones, but slaps and muffs are just awesome.
I recommend tucked remo fiberskin with it (at least on the quinto), cause I propably tune high and remo crimplock cracked on me on sound check (it was hot too).
my few cents, take care and keep on grooving!
