I have noticed "San Diego" as the location for many people here in the forums. I am from the San Diego (California) area myself. I was just wondering if any of you San Diegans ever get together, either musically or just to hang out.

I get together sometimes with a bunch of guys at this Park in Del Mar. Sometimes Emilio Camacho gives us a master class there.
There is also Bill Caballero Latin Jam on Thursday's.

Send me a PM with your details

EMILIO CAMACHO,
IS A GREAT RUMBERO, CONGUERO AND PERFORMER. HE BY HIMSELF, IS A GREAT SHOW. HE HAS TOUGHT ME, MOST OF WHAT I KNOW. ANOTHER GREAT TEACHER AS WELL IS, WILLIAM DUENAS, WHICH WAS MY COACH, AND MY MENTOR. I WAS BLESSED TO LEARN FROM THEM BOTH. ULTIMATELY THOUGH, IT IS UP TO ONE SELF TO DEVELOP, NO ONE CAN DO THAT FOR US. WE EACH HAVE OUR OWN ABILITIES, LEARNING CURVES, DESIRES, DETERMINATIONS, AND SO FORTH. I FEEL FORTUNATE, AND PROUD, TO HAVE BEEN THEIR PUPIL FOR A GOOD PERIOD OF TIME. I HAVE A TRUE DEEP RESPECT FOR THEM BOTH!

EMILIO CAMACHO, IS CURRENTLY WILLING TO GIVE PRIVATE LESSONS , BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, AT HIS HOME IN LA MESA. HE CAN BE CONTACTED BY EMAIL AT: EMILIORUMBA@YAHOO.COM

"THEY ARE BOTH MY BROTHERS".

Up here in Victoria we have to go down South to Seattle and San Diego to kidnap people to jam with and bring 'em here!

If you San Diego guys ever have a get-together, I'd like to know. Perhaps I could make the trip.

I love San Diego. My brother moved there 2 years ago and I hope to move there also. My last visit I swore I would move permanently. It will take me awhile to get used to the "plastic" feel of the city but eventually I would get used to it. I really dig that Brazilian restaurant in the Gaslamp.
