Yeah woodblocks aren't really quiet either, but quieter IMHO, and I prefer the sound.

My bracket is by Danmar, it is adjustable to different widths of holes
in the woodblocks. The attachment to the pedal is by Gibraltar,
the pedal is a vintage Rogers.

So many hardware alternatives, just try and be creative.

If that block of yours is made of maple, they did a helluva job on the stain.

If I match it to my playing area floor finish, it will have to be made of concrete... somehow I don't think that will resonate all that well! :roll:

Thanks for pics on attachments, gives me some ideas .
As long as I'll be making...I'll make a couple of different sizes...I'll only know what it sounds like, after being glued together.

No, due to a lack of control of English that was not intended. But, thinking twice about it:
One can´t brush aside the fact that drummers always stick to the terms of of music to hit the nail right on the head - in other words: conga´nough of cymbalic talk like this :wink:

That´s why I love the English language: it is rich of double, triple ... meanings - that´s cool for puns,

You could use one of these, I think Gibraltar makes an adaptor for it..
