How about a 15" cherry by Isla?

Although I've vehemently criticized this builder, the 15" and requinto from the set of 5 I purchased are reasonably built. The 15" does have an issue with the flesh hoop being a bit too small, and it looks to be pulling through a bit in one spot. You probably also want to pull out the drywall screws from the rubber bumper on the bottom before they cause real issues. Also, the finish isn't great etc. However, the drum sounds decent and the joints are probably the best out of the entire set I purchased, solid enough that I'd feel comfortable selling it.

I'm in Victoria, so the correct side of the continent - but a bit north of you. Your friend would need to pay the shipping. I have some boxes and peanut foam from my last SOS purchase that I could use to pack the drum.

If the drum's of interest let me know and I'll post some high resolution pictures of it.
