LP Palisades Park, NJ. Awesome Find, Barely Used!!

Hi Bongoceros! Wanted to share the following. I stumbled upon a barely touched set of late 60’s to early 70’s Palisades Park Bongos. Got them from the original owner. Mahogany wood with Cuban style bottoms. This is the second set I currently own. I consider myself lucky. Also got an original LP Bongo case with it.

I got real lucky with these. The original owner used them in photo shoots. Not sure if for LP or not, but he never played them.

I decided to mount new skins in my Palisades. I’m keeping the original skins, but I went ahead and mounted two new skins. I was recently in Puerto Rico and purchased some Cueros de Vaca (I Racked Up) to put on the Macho and I picked up a Dark Brown Steer Cuero from Manito Percussion for the Hembra. The set now looks stunning with the new skins. It also sounds amazing!!!
