Identify this Bongo

Postby RetroVintageDrummer » Tue Sep 23, 2014 11:13 am

Hey Bongoceros,

I saw this on the bay and need some help identifying it. The seller says it's solid, but you can clearly see the staves so clearly he doesn't know what he has. Any thoughts?

Certainly looks like stave bongos.
Very interesting looking bongos,
they seem to be very well made.
Who is the marker? Any Idea?

The first thing that came to mind was Pan Con Queso, but all the bongos by Carlos Landaeta don't really look like this one.

Yes, I thought about Pan Con Queso also.
That thing has some huge grooves that really
accentuate the conical shape. Judging by the
photos that set is finished and put together
very well.
