Speaking of rare and collectible, here is my 1964 LP Maywood, NJ bongo'. Just confirmed with Martin Cohen via email. Made in his house in Maywood, NJ in 1964. In time for the 50th anniversary of LP (1964-2014). All original except for quality JCR skins. Got them from a NYC collector who picked them up from Ricky Bongo James widow. Bongo James was the percussionist for Pucho and The Latin Soul Brothers. This bongo' projects beautifully, is in great condition and is very lightweight. According to Cohen from the first batch made.
