Yes, he was my first bongó idol and the only one for me. I have many LP's when Armando was just arriving from Cuba and playing with Cal Tjader. In that time he simply revolutionized the bongo playing. People listen to the new cats doing all that fast "redobles" not knowing that 60 years ago Armando was already doing it. Descanse en paz maestro!
