Picked up this set pretty cheap, they arrived the other day, oiled em up and played em a bit, smaller sizes, nice sound, pretty sure they're the cedro because they smell a lot like my sonoc bata which are definitely cedro.

Bauer Bongo

Postby congavalde » Sun Dec 01, 2013 3:41 pm

I have a set of Bauer bongos. They have been sitting around for a few years. They sound just alright, kind of like a toy pair. just bought two pairs of LP generation IIs which sound better I think. They seem to be on par with Matadors

I can't find the Bauer website anymore. Any idea about the quality of these bongos, is it worth the $ to change the heads? I may buy some skins for the macho if it would improve the sound.

Any input is appreciated.
