LP matador "?Rubber Thingies?" - losing the rubber thread protectors.

What "can " be done to keep the black "leg?- protecters/thread protecters from comming off, aside from industrial adheasive.
Ive tryed hairspray, ?
These things are maily cosmetic, as i am highly protective of all my equiptment, It has become a nusansce over the years ive had my matador bongos missplacing these things,
"has any one had this agrivation ,and what happened?"

Nothing....The manufacturers have the good intention to provide those "end of tuning lugs covers or protectors" but they are so small and so easy to get out of place that makes no sense to keep them. (Do not know anybody who has them all the time). I guess the intention was not to scratch the floor when you put the bongos down or not to scratch yourself with the end of the lug...

If you put "cement" or anything to make them stick permanently you might have a problem when you have to replace the lugs. (If you ever do.. Depending on how high is your tuning eventually the tuning lugs will lose some of their strength...It might be awhile but I thought I throw that comment..).

It looks nice to have them but is not practical...
