Tycoon Master Hand Crafted - Should I buy?

Postby nicopatin » Wed Jan 18, 2012 11:50 pm

Hey,

I'm getting this awesome deal for these. I only got two days to decide to get them or not. I played them this morning and they sounded alright, but I was wondering if any one had any experience with them?
My fiberglass LP are just too heavy and need something new.

Wow no responses yet huh?

Well bro I haven't played a tycoon but I've heard that they are like top of the line LP's , maybe even a bit better, so if you say ur getting a good deal on the price I would jump on that deal, I'm not sure how good the stock heads are but in anycase you can swap the heads for remo synthetic or natural skins, watever floats ur boat bro....best of luck with the purchase... bendicion y saludos..

@b0ng0 Thanks bro, you were right. They are top of the line and sound better than my fiberglass LP's, but the macho skin is already ripped after only two gigs (and I always put extra care at tuning them) so I'm getting a set of Remo Fyberskins. The bongos are light, solid and have a nice feel to it. I'm happy I got them. The look is amazing too. Gracias bro, bendiciones a ti tambien.

NICO, que mas panita? Glad to hear they worked out for you, good idea fiberskyn is going to sound great on the bongos, I reccomend fiberskyn 3 tucked, a very good friend gave me a pair of LP valje as a gift with fiberskyn 3 heads... they sound great & project really good...saludos

SSUP bongo! aqui tranquilo tu sabes, tocando algo. Oye thanks for the advice. I knew there was a catch on the price I got my Tycoons for... the macho skins were second hand so they ripped in less than 10 days... in any case, I had a doubt in my mind, the macho is a 7 incher and the Fyberskins 3 tucked from Remo you mention are 7 1/4.... you think they'll fit?? I really dig them though, and really wanna get them. Should I just be limited to 7" skins?

Saludos, Tycoon have better looking Bongos than those. Check the signature series with traditional crowns. Also take in consideration that those factory skins have to be replace.

Nico: cuidado bro, if tycoon macho is 7" then the fiberskyn 3 7.25 head won't fit, if you still have the old stock heads save the flesh hoops , your best bet is that your gonna have to mount heads on them because the heads are odd shaped & remo might not make them... just get some heads from L&H percussion & you should be ready to go bro...cualquier cosa mandame un mensaje...saludos..
