I would like to see your case, could you upload some pictures?
Do you know the model number or any similar case?

thanks

Yes but my amount per case went down to a price of $45 each for 3 and I didn't pay shipping that was free. I still have to obtain the trays but that's for another day and time when funds are available to me. Peace Jorge.

the Nomad case is great for the price, I paid $35.00 5 years ago from Musician friend http://drums-percussion.musiciansfriend ... sku=543548 I sprayed it with clear lacquer inside and out to make it more water proof, it worked out very well for me.

I have this same case, I bought it in 197? from Lp, I have been meaning to repair it for the last 10-12 years as the bell/stick compartment on the end fell apart.
Maybe I'll buy some fiberglass cloth and resin at Home Depot and do the repair.
That's a nice case because it's a "hinged" box, unlike a Nomad case that's held together by two straps and to my knowledge does not have a seperate area inside for the bell/stick/hand cream/band aids/tuning wrench/spare lugs etc.

Re: Oxford Fiber case company on green street in Manhattan, back when they were still there, they made three cases with wheels for my Congas,
I remember I was amazed how inexpensive it was in the early '80's.

But for international travel (airplanes/tour buses etc.), an Anvil case is necessary for me.
I bought an Anvil case at a NAMM convention in New Orleans in 1984-'85 on the last day of the convention... sold to me cheap because they didn't want to
drag it back with them. I sold it several years ago on Ebay.

The best thing I have found, that I trust to check through as a road case is a heavy duty metal no-name tool box I found. Some of the plastic tool boxes from Sears or Stanley 20-22" work for most, not all bongos. You need to line them with strong foam. A good custom case costs $$$, the commercial "Bass pedal - Bongo cases" are crap.

+1 to this, it's what I use too. But I get one of those cheap bongo cases from ebay to use as a liner, I posted it before.

This was a smart alternative to the drum store bags & cases that you can get similar gig bags from second hand store far cheaper any way. This case also disguises the fact that a musical instrument is inside.

I know there are unlimited options for a bongo case but I wish I had one of the original Lp hardshell case to go with my old school Lp's.

Ernesto,

I would love to see a photo of your $7.00 Eddie Bauer Case!

Anybody trying to get rid of their old School Lp hardshell bongo case? I like the 197?'s -like the ones pictured in a few post's... lol (I highly doubt it).
