Old JCR's bongo Drum 4 Lugs at the hembra and 5 at macho,notice the welded rims , no rivets. One piece drum , dark mahogany wood, from Dominican Republic as told by MR.JCR

Hi my favorite is the JCR Tapered 4 Lugs ,it has a great sound and condensed style.Great dimensions and weight.6 3/4macho and 8 1/4 hembra.This bongo has been thru rough and good times,last dec I took it to N.Y. to Mr.Cali Rivera for a new head rim (macho).Thanks

Hi Bongoceros :cool: , I will like your opinion on this Cascarones that an artesian made deep in the mountains aibonito of P.R. Caoba wood mahoganny it was sent to Mr. Cali Rivera completion ,will be 5 lugs macho and 4 hembra for comfort, :O from this we be able to compare the mass produced and also the old stuff vs. the new stuff. ps. sent to N.Y. yesterday track this topic for updates :p .

This is the almost completed Bongo ,Puertorican Mahoganny from Aibonito P.R. 20 years old unfinished ,and finally completed by the master craftmans from JCR percussion .Thanks to MR. Cali Rivera and company.ps. Cali Call this Bongo ,"El Alacran" wihich means the centipede or the scorpion. One solid piece of mahoganny 7macho" to 8"embra and 3/4 of an inch longer for better solid sound like Ismael,s Bongos.Thanks again

Old Gonbops 7"macho and 9" hembra 8tunning lugs bottom rims upgraded retrofit for better tunning and stability by JCR.
