2 different bongo solos, the first one is gadwin vargas, i believe he is from PR, nice to see a left handed bongocero
the other one is diego & jimmy Gale from Colombia.. diego gale is playing a bongo from tambores barranquilla i believe..i love the sound of the bongos on both videos..

Take a look on youtube where Diego is showing bongo/clave. What about those heads? they sound awesome and if they are synthetic heads am thinking in trying those heads on my JCR.

hey guys,

i spoke to a fellow bongosero in medellin who studies with jimmy gale, and he says the heads that Gale uses in all of his "percusivo" video are some kind of ready mount cow hide heads, he says the sound is also excellent because of the person tunning & playing it, Mr.Diego Gale...

Tremendos Solos puñeta ! The tambores barranquilla ready mount heads are sold down here by pure sound store. Do not misunderstand mi comment but like always some skins will be good and others not so good. Some times a very white color macho skin would sound high and crisp, next time you buy one alike and turn out to have a dull sound. Skins are a rollercoaster.
Skins need to be flexible so they can produce a tight sound, One skin too stiff may produce a dull sound. So take your time to inspect for flaws, stiffness, and any other detail that may ruin the sound.
