Thanks BNB I had not noticed that.
Amanda Villepastour was one of the Museum curators at MIM, Musical Instrument Museum. Apart from being a scholar of Afro-Cuban and Yoruba drumming she is also collector of Percussion Instruments and so when she found out about my Requena she was very excited about seeing it before her last day at MIM, last Friday was her last day there.
I was very happy that she got to see the drum first hand.
It will be a different curator for the “Cuba” exhibition which is where my drum will be exhibited.
