Beautiful! Do you steam bend the staves or cut the form from thicker blocks of wood?

Am trying to build some in the near future :)

Wow, those look great! Beautiful wood, beautiful shape!

I would really like to build a conga myself, but have a lot to learn first.

How do you shape the staves? I would think a router and a template (?).
Do you have photos of the work in progress? I'd be very interested!
