They look Mexican to me. It's a shame to use instruments as end tables but if they are what I think they are, they do make better end tables than instruments.

Definitely Mexican, Viva La Raza. Good as end tables, more suitable for that use than to play rumba.

The seller says they are very rare. In this instance I think this means they are the only two in his living room. Those things grow like weeds on ebay.
