Hello..I recently posted that I was looking for an LP Patato Quinto. I just won one on ebay, but it has the comfort curve rim and I was hoping that someone might have an LP Traditional Quinto ( 11") rim that they would be willing to part with. I can pay cash or trade for it. I am not fond of comfort curve rims at all. Please let me know if you can help ok? Thanks very much.
p.s....The lp skin on my new quinto will come off as well since I would only consider leaving an lp skin on a Tumba if anything. I have a nice juicy thick skin waiting in the wings for the quinto.
Thanks everyone.

good choice to exchange for a real skin and raditional rim TheBreeze .
I do have a rim , but unfortunately in comfort curve I. Sorry I can't help you out. If its a consolation you can get a traditional rim here

I'm planning to get a traditinal rim for my LP classic (custom finish) to replace the CC rims too, and get some extra lugs.

I wonder if I could fit the LP Valje rim on the classics?

Thanks for the website tip Tonio. I have saved it and will get the rim from them if all else fails. By the way, I have purchased sets of tuning lugs in ebay and they still have more. They are Meinl, unused, and you get a set of 6 for 5.99 + 4.60 shipping for a small total of only 10.59 for 6 new lugs. Go to ebay, musical instruments, then enter " meinl lug bolts" that will put you on the page. It's a great deal. Or call them direct..Dales Drumshop (877)704-5682 Toll Free and they just might sell them to you direct. I don't think the Valje Rim will work. I think I remember trying that once upon a time.
Thanks again Tonio.

Thanks Thebreeze, I'll check out the Meinl lugs.
Too bad the LP Valjes won't fit.

I think the problem will be that the valje rims are not exactly the same size as the lp rims, and so, the side brackets will not line up with the ears of the rim. I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure that will be the case.
