Keeping with the tradition strated by Gonzalo Vergara in Havana in the late 40's and all throughout the 50's and folowed by the late Junior Tirado (r.i.p) and Jay Bereck, here comes the new King of Congas, Matthew Smith. Enjoy the view of 5 vintage, mid 90's, RITMO congas by Matthew. Nebole Que Son Kiñongo !
Saludos, Dario. :D

Hey, I don't get comissions.

I am about to join the few, the brave, the fortunate! I placed my order with Mathew (Great Guy to deal with) in December. I should expect my 3 drums around June, September at the latest! Mahogany!

I'm anxious to receive them and get playing on them. Your collection is amazing Papa!
I thought that I was the only "conga collecting loco" on the planet! Apparently I'm in great company Papa!

Keep posting pics, we all enjoy seeing them!

BTW! Have you seen the DVD "Ralphy Leavitt y La Selecta 30 Anniverario"? I'm curious to know the type of congas his conguero uses on it. Se ven cabrones!

Suave!

Onile!

They are some awesome looking drums hermano. Do they weigh much in comparison to say an LP Classic?
Bet they sound fantastic. Wheres my invite to a rumba and bbq followed by drinks at the pool party now? :D

My God !!! You're in Conga Valhalla

I think I 'll print this pic and frame it.

Wow! Now that's a collection!:)))))

By the way, in the far right I see what appears to be one of Meinl's floatune series congas. How do you like the sound of those? The concept seems interesting, but I have never heard one or had an opportunity to try one.
