When it comes to Fiberglass....The Patato Line is excellant. Slightly shorter if I remember correctly. 28" Vs 30".
I went the Remo route for my louder "Rock Type" gigs with With Audix Mics. I love the Sound of The Tough n nuffs but They ain't Light. I sometimes take a two wheel cart to haul one while I carry the other.
LP Classics in fiberglass can be had fairly inexspensively......However their hard to find without comfort curve rims which
are not my favorite.

The Search is half the fun.....You'll find the perfect set-up
Good Luck

Patato congas are my favorite glassfibers, and at Artdrum you can now get them for 400 dollar a piece. The comfort rims are very nice and comfy, and Patato himself used them.

Abakua,
Thanks forThe correction. I had A Patato and a Classic (or Original)I Think ; One was shorter by a couple of inches.
Thought it was the Patato. I did like their Sound ...Fiberglass has it Advantages.....It will project
Thanks again for clearing that up. Don't want to mis-inform .

Peace

It's the Classics that are 28". I used to have one. Those are my favorite fiberglass drums. Very light.
Mine was a vintage Palisades, New Jersey one. My first real conga and I used to haul it everywhere!

Bongos
I still have it . I went down to my storage area and unzipped the bag and measured it....Indeed a 28" drum
I too feel it's Great drums...I've put it out at my Garage/drum gear sales and Can't get $125 for it with a new Hand select Head. Guess I'm destined to keep it. It's an 11 1/2 has a Handle and Has gone to many "Grassers" with me. Tunes High/Tunes Low
Good Projection and Just a nice drum.
I dusted it off and now have in my office to play along to Sattelite Radio.
A renewed appreciation.
Cool

Peace
