Meinl treated Mongo very good, I was in his condo one time when he got a $25,000 check from them. He also got a royalty check for a song of his "Yeah, Yeah" that was sang by Georgie Fame, a Brithis singer, back in the 80's it was a big hit again all over Europe. That song brought Mongo more royalties than "Afro Blue". Patato never got a $25,000 check from LP lke Mongo got from Meinl.

Is crazy that LP is using an old photo of Mongo to give the impression he is endorsing LP drums while
the only Mongo endorsed drums are Meinl. I mean Meinl still producing Mongo Santamaria Signature
drums. Que Falta De Respeto........
