I definitely second Vinnie on this one. All due respect to trap drummers--but congas are truly a different animal from the ground up-- and unless your drummer is also an experienced conguero with a choice set of his own, you'll be relying on his ear and skill set. Not the same. Start by wading through the extensive and thorough tuning threads on this fourm where pros offer up gems of great value.
